Arqana December Catalogue Online

The catalogue for Arqana’s December Breeding Stock Sale, which runs Dec. 5 to 8 in Deauville, is now online. The sale will see 976 lots on offer, including 464 mares, 202 fillies in and out of training, 296 foals and eight stallions. As usual, the sale has been supported by some of Europe’s top studs, and the Aga Khan Studs will offer 42 fillies and mares including lot 87, Mandheera (Bernardini), a daughter of triple Group 1 victress Mandesha (Fr) (Desert Style {Ire}); lot 92, Monisha (Fr) (Sinndar {Ire}), a half-sister to triple Group 1 winner Manighar (Fr) (Linamix {Fr}); and lot 168, Edilisa (Ire) (Azamour {Ire}), a winning granddaughter of Ebaziya (Ire) (Darshaan {GB}), the dam of G1 Gold Cup winners Estimate (Ire) (Monsun {Ger}) and Enzeli (Ire) (Kahyasi {GB}) and G1 Irish Oaks winner Ebadiyla (Ire) (Sadler’s Wells). The Shadwell draft of 14 includes lot 182, Secretina (GB) (Galileo {Ire}), a half-sister to a pair of stakes winners including G1 Grand Prix de Saint-Cloud winner Plumania (GB) (Anabaa), and Haras du Roussel will send out a 23-horse draft that includes lot 127, the winning Pleasant Valley (Ire) (Shamardal) from the immediate family of G1 Melbourne Cup winner Protectionist (Ger) (Monsun {Ger}). Other highlights among the filly and mare offerings include L’Amour de Ma Vie (Dansili {GB}) (lot 162), a Group 2 winner and the only mare to be offered in foal to Galileo at Europe’s breeding stock sales this year; Jessica Rocks (GB) (Fastnet Rock {Aus}) (lot 66), a half-sister to Group 1 winner Havana Gold (Ire) (Teofilo {Ire}) in foal to No Nay Never; Nigh (Ire) (Galileo {Ire}) (lot 101), a half-sister to Group 1 winner Kingsgate Native (Ire) (Mujadil) in foal to Charm Spirit (Ire); and Princesse Eva (Fr) (Manduro {Ger}) (lot 125), a half-sister to this year’s G1 Irish Oaks and G1 Prix de l’Opera winner Covert Love (Ire) (Azamour {Ire}).

The foal selection will include lot 132, a Dawn Approach (Ire) half-brother to this year’s G1 Prix Jean Romanet winner Odeliz (Fr) (Falco); lot 41, a Footstepsinthesand (GB) daughter of Group 1 winner and stakes producer Elle Danzig (Ger) (Roi Danzig); and lot 53, a Sea The Stars (Ire) colt who is the first foal out of stakes winner Gotlandia (Fr) (Anabaa).
